Strategic Account Executive – Digital Pathology

Location: Sales Territory – U.S. West Coast

Position Description:

Inspirata is looking for an experienced and motivated Strategic Account Executive (SAE) to develop prospective accounts and drive revenue in our Digital Pathology business unit. This role requires a seasoned, innovative sales professional with a successful track record of engagement and sales growth with executive and clinical leadership in large healthcare organizations and pathology departments. A successful candidate will have solid experience managing sales and services projects, preferably in Oncology, software and/or new pathology-related technologies. The ideal SAE should have a strong healthcare network that can be leveraged for success, and knowledge of acute clinical processes, diagnostic imaging solutions, or data management practices. A collaborative and team-oriented approach will be critical in this role.


  • Assume ownership of delivering aggressive revenue growth through targeted planning and executing account-specific sales strategies
  • Robust and routine networking to identify and build trusted relationships with a clinical, technical, and Executive (C-level) leaders to promote the adoption and use of Inspirata’s Digital Pathology software platform
  • Leverage all existing relationships and tools available to, aggressively and routinely, develop a robust account pipeline and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment toward acceleration of the sales process
  • Expand Inspirata’s footprint and business relationships in your geography, through frequent engagement and other innovative strategies in collaboration with our Marketing and Sales Teams’ support
  • Assist in designing and executing effective sales strategies that create broad strategic partnerships and drive adoption of Inspirata’s innovative solutions
  • Commitment to the travel necessary to build the business in a 10-15-state geography


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related industry desired
  • 10+ years relevant sales experience targeting large health systems, from lead generation to close
  • 5+ years selling to Healthcare Executive and Clinical/Lab Leadership, demonstrating a strong professional presence, command of subject matter and presentation delivery
  • The ability and drive to routinely qualify new prospects and simultaneously manage multiple, potentially large revenue sales opportunities in various stages of the sales process
  • Proven ability to leverage an effective consultative selling approach to uncover client pain points and provide value-added solutions in a, potentially, complex pathology and IT environment
  • A strong desire and motivation to successfully sell first generation, disruptive solutions in an emerging healthcare industry
  • Knowledge of the hospital procurement environment involving multiple levels of decision makers and an understanding of a complex selling cycle
