This Privacy Notice is meant to help you understand our relevant practices, including what data we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it and how we protect it, as well as your individual rights related to how your data is handled and used.

Please familiarize yourself with our privacy practices and let us know if you have any questions. By using the Sites, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Notice. If you do not agree to this Privacy Notice, please do not use the Sites.

Irrespective of which country you live in, you authorize us to transfer, store, and use your information in the United States, and any other country where we operate. In some of these countries, the privacy and data protection laws and rules regarding when government authorities may access data may vary from those in the country where you live. Learn more about our data transfer operations in the “International Transfer” section below. If you do not agree to the transfer, storage and use of your information in the United States, and any other country where we operate, please do not use the Sites or Services.

If you have any questions or comments about this Privacy Notice, please submit a request to privacy@inspirata.com.

We and our partners use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies when you interact with us at our Sites and when using our social media pages and receiving our emails. Our third-party advertising and analytics partners include Google, Multiview, Hubspot, Net Factor, Albacross and Get Site Control.
A cookie is a piece of script that is placed automatically on your computer’s hard drive when you access certain websites which, in serving to identify your unique browser, provides a means to personalize and accelerate the speed of your site experience. Web beacons represent script written into the underlying code of the website and are designed to help inform the owner about site performance by recording the instances in which a given action is being undertaken by web visitors, e.g., it might record that you clicked on a video, filled out a form and/or entered the site via a certain page and left by another.

Cookies can assist in different ways, but are typically categorized based on the role they fulfill and the value they provide:

  • Required Cookies – Used to ensure that the website functions properly. These would be used to ensure any preferences you have expressed in engaging with our site are properly recorded for your next visit.
  • Analytics Cookies – Used to measure and analyze digital channel usage by visitors at an aggregate level so as to provide a basis for improving performance.
  • Advertising Cookies – Used to enable online advertising, allowing Inspirata to potentially serve online ads when you leave Inspirata.com associated with an explicit or implicit interest you have expressed during your visit(s) to Inspirata.com.
  • Social Media Cookies – Used to enable integration of social media into the website, so that you can share or like Inspirata content via your preferred social network.

Web beacons, cookies and other tracking technologies do not automatically gather personally identifiable information about you. This occurs only if you voluntarily submit personally identifiable information, such as registering for or sending e-mails. In these cases, these automatic tracking technologies can be used to provide further information about your use of the websites and/or interactive e-mails to improve their usefulness to you.
You can delete cookies if you wish; while certain cookies are necessary for viewing and navigating on our website, most of the features will be still accessible without cookies. We do not track signals, plant cookies or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place. Likewise, our site does not support third-party behavioral data tracking. For further information about the use of cookies or other similar technologies used and your choices regarding cookies, please read our Cookie Notice.

We use your personal data in ways that are compatible with the purposes for which it was collected or authorized by you, including for the following purposes:

  1. To inform you about services available from Inspirata;

  7. To respond to and support users regarding their use of the Sites and Services;
  8. To comply with all applicable legal requirements.
  9. To investigate possible fraud or other violations of our Terms of Use or this Privacy Notice and/or attempts to harm our Users.

We use the information we collect from our Sites to provide, maintain, and improve them, to develop new services, and to protect our Company and our users.

We use information collected from cookies and other technologies, to improve your user experience and the overall quality of our services. For example, by saving your language preferences, we’ll be able to have our services appear in the language you prefer. We may use your personal information to see which web pages you visit at our Site, which web site you visited before coming to our Site, and where you go after you leave our Site. We can then develop statistics that help us understand how our visitors use our Site and how to improve it. We may also use the information we obtain about you in other ways for which we provide specific notice at the time of collection.

We will ask for your consent before using information for a purpose other than those set out in this Privacy Notice.

Our Legal Basis for Collecting Personal Data

Whenever we collect Personal Data from you, we may do so on the following legal bases:

    •  Communications and marketing, including processing data for direct marketing purposes, and subject to your opt-in for these purposes, and to determine the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and advertising;
    • Enhancement of our cybersecurity, including improving the security of our network and information systems; and
    • General business operations and diligence;

Provided that, in each circumstance, we will weigh the necessity of our processing for the purpose against your privacy and confidentiality interests, including taking into account your reasonable expectations, the impact of processing, and any safeguards which are or could be put in place. In all circumstances, we will limit such processing for our legitimate business interest to what is necessary for its purposes.

Sharing Personal Data with Others

We do not sell or trade your personally identifiable information to outside parties. However, there are certain circumstances in which it may be necessary to disclose your personal data with others.

We may disclose your Personal Data:

It is our policy to only share Personal Data with contractors, service providers and other third parties who are bound by contractual obligations to keep Personal Data confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them. Under certain circumstances, you may avoid having us share your information with our business partners and vendors by not granting us permission to share your information. Not granting us permission to share your information with our business partners or vendors may limit your access to their services through the Sites. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Other uses and disclosures

  •  We may also use and disclose your personal data as we believe to be necessary or appropriate: (a) to comply with applicable law, which may include laws outside your country of residence, to respond to requests from public and government authorities, which may include authorities outside your country of residence, to cooperate with law enforcement or for other legal reasons; (b) to enforce our terms and conditions; (c) to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, and/or that of our affiliates or subsidiaries, you or others; and (d) to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
  • In addition, we may use, disclose or transfer your information to a third party in the event of any reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets or stock (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings).
  • We may share aggregate and anonymized/pseudonymized Personal Data to third parties in order to promote or describe use of the Sites, for research, marketing, advertising, or similar purposes.

Sharing Personal Data with Others

Your provision of Personal Data is required in order to use certain parts of our services and our programs. If you fail to provide such Personal Data, you may not be able to access and use our Services and/or our programs, or parts of our Services and/or our programs.

Third-party links and services

This Privacy Notice does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy, information or other practices of any third parties, including any third party operating any website or service to which Inspirata links. The inclusion of a link on Inspirata.com does not imply endorsement of the linked site or service.
