Product Manager (Product Owner)

Position Description:

The ideal candidate will support the definition and execution of product initiatives of our Clinical Trial Matching solution. You will manage the activities necessary to ensure achievement of strategic, technical and revenue objectives by using industry knowledge expertise, market research and direct feedback from market, clients and prospects to enhance existing ideas and develop new ideas. This position requires a unique blend of domain knowledge and technical savvy and the ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative research.

Key activities will be to provide guidance to the team responsible for the development of products related to Inspirata’s Cancer Informatics Business Unit. You will be engaged in all stages of the product life cycle, with specific responsibility for requirements specification and go-to-market activities.

The ideal candidate will also serve as a product evangelist, comfortable and able to speak in front of audiences with varying degrees of technical knowledge. This role will report to the CEO and partner with both the VP Engineering for product development and the Vice President of Marketing for market facing activities including developing engaging blog posts, interactive digital content, and host webinars and fireside chats.

You must be equally comfortable digging into market and customer needs as you will be responsible for creating various use cases, user stories and product MVP to hand over to software engineering colleagues. You must be highly motivated, comfortable in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, with experience with conceptualizing, designing and developing healthcare information software solutions, possess strong product leadership and team working skills and have an aptitude for new technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with customers, product stakeholders and software engineering to ensure complete and accurate understanding of the products being built
  • Align our product development efforts with business strategy and metrics
  • Define the product roadmap, goals, scope, and high-level product specifications.
  • Gather market information and validate the accuracy and marketability of that information
  • Co-sponsor market research surveys together with the VP of Marketing
  • Define the scope and lead the planning and implementation of a specific product
  • Collaborate with the software development team and implementation team to manage product changes and interventions to achieve the required outcomes
  • Act as the resident expert be the evangelist for the product being built
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create promotional materials
  • Evaluate potential partner relationships for ongoing product development and enhancements

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in a technical, scientific or quantitative field.
  • Healthcare or life sciences consulting or healthcare informatics or data technology experience.
  • Domain in experience in oncology, outcomes research, clinical research, clinical trials.
  • 5+ years product management experience in the software or SaaS domain, with demonstrated ability to work closely with product development teams to design and specific complex information delivery product.
  • Strong product management skills, including requirements gathering and specification.
